Dearest Venture readers,
After a year on the team, it is with a saddened heart that I am graduating college and will no longer be a part of the Venture team. I have enjoyed every second of my time as a part of Venture and cannot believe that it is coming to an end.
As many of you know, Fall of 2023 is when Venture was revived by a group of students as a part of a class, ENG-320, Editing for Literary Publishing. I was lucky enough to be a part of that group of students and got to watch the journal grow and revive as a result of all of our hard work. When I first signed up to take the course, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I didn’t know we would actually be bringing back our school’s literary magazine. But we did.We were able to accomplish so much in such a short amount of time.
I have been grateful enough to do many things as a part of Venture, like running our Instagram page (@venture_litmagazine.) I have loved putting together posts, making pretty posters and graphics, and running around like a crazy person at events taking pictures. Being a part of the Venture team has been so rewarding for me personally and I am so honored to be a part of such an amazing project.
The journey hasn’t been easy, but boy, has it been so rewarding to be a part of such an amazing group of students who accomplish something that we get to be so proud of for years to come. I am so proud of each and every one of the Venture staff members, past, present and future, and I can’t wait to see what you all accomplish.
This isn’t goodbye, it’s just a see you later, you can’t get rid of me that easily. I will see you all when we launch our next issue in the spring.
Marketing Lead, out.
With Love,
Adrianna Jaccoma Marketing Lead for Venture
